Baseball Drills for Youth – Relay Drill

If you’re in need for some baseball drills for youth, try the relay baseball drill below.  This keeps your baseball practice fun and teaches your players the skills they need.

Relay Drill

Line up 4 kids in each line.

All have a baseball at their feet.

1st kid picks up the ball, watching it into his hand and throws to the next kid in line using proper relay technique.

That kid, picks up the ball at his feet, watching it into his hand and throws to the next guy, etc..

Make a race out of it.

Teaches the kids to pickup the ball without looking away so they do not have to double-reach for it.
