Baseball Outfield Drills – Infield and Outfield
Keeping three players busy in a baseball drill is easy with these baseball outfield drills. Give this drill a try to improve your teams fielding skills.
Three cones, 10 feet apart from each other, one fielder in between each cone, and behind those two is an outfielder, who works on breaking to the baseball. If the two fielders cannot stop the grounder the outfielder is in the right position to make the play. The baseball coach tries to get the ball past the infielders with various types of grounders.
This helps prevent scrum, because the infielders learn to let the outfielders do their job, and the infielders learn to not run to the ball on the other side of the middle cone.
This also encourages the coach to really try to get balls to the OF.
