Fun T-ball Practice Drills – Baseball Madness
The problem I have at the T-Ball level is keeping the boys interested for more than 5 minutes. Here are some fun t-ball practice drills that one of my assistant coaches suggested. It’s an idea called “baseball madness”.
There is no rhyme or reason to the name just something the boys could remember. Basically we have 3-4 stations and they rotate every 3-5 minutes. The entire baseball drill is about 12-15 minutes. The challenge is to have enough baseball coaches and/or parents to staff the stations.
Split the players into pairs and it works as follows:
Station 1: Play catch
Station 2: Field grounders
Station 3: Batting stance and practice swings
Station 4: Running bases
They boys LOVE it and often request “baseball madness” when we have baseball practice!
