Throwing a baseball has the potential to be very damaging to the arm. But by conditioning your throwing arm, you can get the muscles used to working repeatedly in the same way.

A Towel Pitching Drill for Perfect Pitches

A great way to condition without stress is to take any pitching drill, and replace the baseball with a kitchen towel. And then go through the throwing movements while holding onto the towel. The towel simulates resistance and also allows your pitcher work on his techniques without throwing a ball.

Replacing the baseball with a towel allows your players to any pitching drill by themselves, anytime. This allows them greater opportunities to develop good muscle memory.
