I’m often asked for advice on [tag]youth baseball coaching[/tag]. Here are a couple of simple but effective [tag]baseball coach[/tag]ing tips that will pay huge dividends with your team.
One thing we have work hard on is the mental attitude; I want our boys playing upbeat and positive whether we are up 10 runs or down 10 runs. I am trying to instill the positive. we need to take the [tag]baseball[/tag] field with the same hustle whether we are up or down in the score. Also out in the field I have tried to make the fielders take their minds off the game in between pitches then focus when the pitcher is ready, but we are always talking and thinking about the situation.
When coaching younger kids start the [tag]baseball practice[/tag] with a nice long jog before you do anything else. Immediately go into your stretches, followed by another nice long jog. When that is done you have a pretty good chance of actually communicating any important info to them without a lot of the silliness young boys come to practice with.
