One of my favorite [tag]baseball drills[/tag] are speed drills. They are best done with three to four [tag]baseball fielders[/tag]. It can be done on the infield or the outfield.

Get about 20-30 yards between you and the fielders. Have someone catching for you for safety. Have three or four balls whatever you can handle.

Start throwing ground balls to the players having them return them as fast as they can. Throw them to the sides, bouncers, one hoppers, line drives, mix it up. Keep going until you are tired. You can back off and bat the balls to them too. Just depends on the skill level of the [tag]baseball[/tag] players.

At first you want to make sure the fielders are using proper form for both catching and throwing. You throw short and have them charge the baseball or long and back off, pop-ups whatever you would expect to see in a game.

This is a [tag]baseball drill[/tag] you use when you have a couple of assistant coaches, or even players themselves, can run it.   Great fast paced effective drill!
