I’ve gotten a whole bunch of requests for [tag]baseball fielding drills[/tag] over the past few days.   Here’s a [tag]baseball drill[/tag] that was sent in by one of my subscribers. Keep ’em coming!Baseball Fielding Drills

Triangle drill – works on fielding, throwing and catching and positioning for 1st baseman.

Set up a triangle in the infield with 2 cones about 10-15 yards apart (one cone around pitchers mound area-the other cone at shortstop) as the base and 1st base as the peak of the triangle.

Have 3 lines – one group on the 1st cone as the roller of the ball to simulate a ground ball, another group at Shortstop behind the 2nd cone and the last group at 1st base.

The [tag]baseball[/tag] is rolled from the 1st cone to the 2nd cone.
Shortstop works around the cone fields the ball and throws to first (he then follows his throw).
First baseman works on all the fundamentals for a 1st baseman.
Roller of the ball goes to the back of the line to be the fielder.
Fielder follows his throw and goes to back of the line to be a first baseman.
1st baseman goes to the line to be the roller of the ball,

Great baseball drill for many infielding fundamentals–and a lot of reps in a short period of time.
