Coming up with new ideas for [tag]baseball hitting drills[/tag] can sometimes be a challenge. Here are two tips that Bob sent in. Try them out!
From Bob”¦
I have two tips to contribute.
When working the [tag]bunt[/tag] with a reluctant player, I have them put a glove on the hitting hand (lefty glove for right-hander) and reach out , as if they were holding a bat, and catch the ball with the gloved hand over the plate. This teaches them confidence in putting the bunt down with a bat in their hands.
A [tag]baseball[/tag] [tag]hitting[/tag] [tag]drill[/tag] I use is to take wiffle golf balls and standing just outside of the strike zone, away from the bat’s reach, hold the ball as high as I can and drop them into the strike zone.
You will be surprised how hard it is to hit. It teaches the batter to WATCH the ball.
