I have been working with Brian Graham, the former interim GM for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had a [tag]baseball drill[/tag] for infielders to have their back turned when he was getting ready to hit a fungo. A [tag]baseball coach[/tag] would tell the player when the [tag]baseball[/tag] was about to be hit.
The player had to turn around and react with the correct feet work. If it is to your right, you open up with your right foot and cross over with the left foot and if it is to their left then the open up with there left foot and cross over with their right foot.
It is a good baseball drill for quickness.
One of my favorite pitcher reflex drills:
My pitcher pitches to my catcher. I (coach) stand in the batters box. As the pitched ball reaches home plate, I hit a wiffle ball with a racquet, back to the pitcher.
