Check out these [tag]baseball throwing drills[/tag]. They work on fielding and throwing accuracy. The kids love these [tag]baseball drills[/tag] especially when they knock the bats down at home plate.
Glove Side Relay
We use a cut off man [tag]baseball drill[/tag] that teaches glove side turning and is competitive. First divide your team up into even lines about 3 or 4 and spread them out about as far as an outfielder to the cut off man. All balls start on the same end and the coach says “go”. The players relay the throw from one player to the next all the way down their line and then back again first line down and back wins. Always remember to get the kids turning to throw on their glove side which is the faster more efficient way to turn to relay a throw.
Another favorite [tag]baseball[/tag] drill is called the teepee drill. It works like this.
Position a player in each infield position (except catcher) and set bats up over home plate shaped in a teepee. I hit a ground ball to one of the infield positions and have them throw the baseball toward the bats in an attempt to knock them down. The kids love it when they knock the bats down at home plate!
