This video goes over something that at some point, you’ll want to talk to your players about during baseball practice: how to establish a lead.
Specifically, we’re talking about establishing a lead at first base.
During your baseball practice, tell your player to put his feet on the edge of the feet and then lay down on his stomach with his arms reached out forwards. He should then make a mark with his hands.
When he stands up, he’ll see the mark he made””this is where he should put his left foot when trying to establish a lead off of first base. All he has to do at this point is lay down to get back to first base. This is the absolute minimal lead that players can establish off of first base.
